Weight Loss Myth 101
👉 I literally tried them all! Garcinia Cambogia, Apple Cider Vinegar, B12, Phentermine, diuretics, tons of fat burners from well known companies. Oh, I even injected myself with HCG for a few months; that was fun #not 🤦♀️. And don’t even get me started on the number of fad diets I tried 🤷♀️. #youliveandlearn .
👉All supplements are just really damn good marketing. People will do ANYTHING to find the easy way out 🙋♀️ #beentheredonethat. Guess what though, there is no easy way out! 🙅♀️. Good ol’ hard work is what’s up. Stop believing that some pill, or shake, or tea, or body wrap (tried that too), will give you the results you desire. Proper nutrition and exercise in combination is the answer to your “I don’t understand what to do” question 👍. Get your strong self off the couch and in some sneakers 👟 and start eating yo veggies 🌶🌽🍆🥦🥒 and more protein 🍳🍗🥓. Stick to that for more than five minutes and you’ll notice how freakin’ awesome you’ll feel. Is it easy? HELL NO! But, I promise it’s worth it💪
Correction: Food is most important 🤪🍏🍊🍌🍓🥑🥥🥝🌽🍳🥔🍗🍔🍟🍕🌮
👉 When you eat a meal early in the day and then follow that meal with subsequent meals throughout the day your energy levels remain consistent 👌. This is believed to prevent crashing and binging later in the day 👍. But if you don’t feel like having breakfast, then don’t 🤔!
👉 If you skip breakfast, you will most likely experience more hunger later in the day and compensate during lunch. Fortunately, this is not usually enough to surpass the effects of skipping breakfast. 🙌
👉 Nutrition labels can be off by up to 20%! #bogus. Those 100 calorie packed snacks could actually ring up to 120 calories per pack. 🤯🤬 .
👉 If a nutrition label says the product has, let’s say, 1g of fat, 6g of carbs, and 2g of protein, then that would equal 41 calories because 1g of fat = 9 calories and 1g of carb and protein both = 4 calories. But, since the calories shown on nutrition labels can be off by 20% that same label would show 40 instead of 41; the macros cannot be rounded. So, if you’re tracking your macros your macro and calorie count may be off. But, long story short, if you’re hitting your macros you will be hitting your calories, but calories shown may be off because labels can be off.
👉 I realize that explanation can be confusing 🙊 so the take away would be to remain cautious of labels especially when dieting. 🙌😎
It feels so strange looking at pictures of myself from the past. It’s hard to remember what it was like carrying around all that extra weight. I put in a few months of really really hard work to get to where I am today. I consistently hit my macros, I worked out every week, I rarely drank alcohol and if I did I made it fit my macros, I said no to cake at birthday parties. I sacrificed six months of my life and dedicated them to getting fit. Those months flew by! .
👉In the long run, six months is minuscule. Be consistent and dedicated and push through the temptations. Time will pass and results will come, promise. .
